Your first step to playing online Bingo is
to choose a trusted site at which to play. Online
Bingo is becoming increasingly popular with the
hundreds of online Bingo sites completing for
your membership. To attract new players, most
sites will offer a sign up bonus or even free
cash. These sites are will also offer regular
bonuses to their existing members. Look to play
at sites with the best bonus programs as you can
pretty much double your playing money.
Once you have selected a Bingo site, you will
usually have to download and install the Bingo
interface on your computer. To do this, follow
the instructions on the site that you are about
to join as the process may vary from one site
to another. The software allows to 'enter' the
Bingo hall where you can buy cards, play games
and chat to other players.
Online games are exactly the same as those games
played in traditional offline Bingo halls with
both 75 ball and 90 ball games available as well
as a variety of different card patterns. The balls
are randomly drawn and called out, so make sure
the sound on your computer is turned on. The drawn
number is then displayed on the Bingo Board where
remains visible for the rest of the game. You
are normally given a few seconds to locate the
number on your bingo cards and mark them off.
Online Bingo games commonly offer an 'auto-Bingo'
or 'auto-dauber' option that will ensure that
you never miss a Bingo. Use this feature to make
sure that you don't miss your chance of winning
a jackpot, however, it does take some of the fun
out of the game.
When playing online bingo, your bingo cards are
randomly selected for you by the computer, though
some online bingo sites allow you to change your
cards if you don’t like them. Statistically
all cards have the same chance of winning but
if you have some lucky numbers, you might as well
play cards on which they appear.
Most bingo sites allow you to choose the number
of cards you would like to play for each game
of bingo. The game pattern is also displayed on
your screen, so you know which bingo pattern you
must complete to win the game. Some patterns are
easy to complete, which will make for a very short
game and lower jackpots. Others are more difficult
and will take many calls to complete. The most
common bingo patterns are straight lines in a
horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction.
Typical bingo cards have five rows and columns,
thus providing 25 spaces, with a random selection
of numbers printed on it. Furthermore, a number
can appear only once on a single card.
The columns are labeled from left to right with
the letters: 'B', 'I', 'N', 'G', 'O'. With one
exception (the center space is "free")
the spaces in the card are assigned values as
follows:
'B'
column contains numbers from 1 - 15.
'I'
column contains numbers from 16 - 30.
'N'
column contains numbers from 31 - 45.
'G'
column contains a number from 46 - 60.
'O'
column contains a number from 61 - 75.
If you are the first to complete the numbers
in a pattern according to the rules of the particular
game, you call "Bingo!" by clicking
on the Bingo button within the software and win
the prize for the game. There are many common
Bingo patterns that may be used, so pay close
attention to the pattern in effect for your game.
Play continues until one or more players are the first
to complete the bingo pattern. The game then stops
until the numbers are verified. If there is more
than one simultaneous winner, the winners split
the prize or jackpot.
